Town of Akan Special Board Meeting
Wednesday January 26, 2011

Call to order -The meeting was called to order at 5 PM by Chairman Howard Oates
Roll call-Supervisor Parker Weum-present, Supervisor Mark Storms-present, Chairman Howard Oates-present, Treasurer Jan Harris-present
Verify posting-Chairman Howard Oates verified that the Special Board Meeting notice was posted Monday morning January 24, 2011.
Purpose for the Special Board Meeting-Chairman Howard Oates stated that there was only one purpose for the meeting on January 26, 2011 and that was to appoint a Town of Akan interim clerk until the April 2011 election could be held.
Chairman Oates stated that he would like a motion to approve Marie Leifheit as the Town of Akan interim clerk until the April 2011 election.
Supervisor Parker Weum made the motion to approve Marie Leifheit as the Town of Akan interim clerk. Supervisor Mark Storms seconded that motion.
Roll call vote to approve Marie Leifheit as the Town of Akan interim clerk- Supervisor Parker Weum-yes, Supervisor Mark Storms-yes, Chairman Howard Oates-yes
Oath of Office-the Oath of Office for Town of Akan clerk was given to Marie Leifheit on January 26, 2011 at this meeting. The Oath of Office was then signed by Chairman Howard Oates.
Adjourn-Chairman Howard Oates made a motion to adjourn the Town of Akan Special Board Meeting. Supervisor Mark Storms seconded that motion.
The meeting was adjourned at 5:07 PM on January 26, 2011.
